THE RED
HOUSE ON SAWMILL ROAD
BED AND BREAKFAST
AT PARADOX
LAKE

The Red House on Sawmill Road is
a charming Adirondack farmhouse only a mile east of Exit
28 of the Northway (Interstate 87) and 3-1/2 miles from
the town of Schroon Lake. It is situated on the
banks of Paradox Brook at the junction of Rt. 74 and
Sawmill Road. Sixteen miles further east on Rt. 74
lies Fort Ticonderoga and the ferry across Lake Champlain
to Vermont.
The Red House is located on
400 acres of private land on the west end of Paradox
Lake. Lying between the vast unspoiled Pharaoh
Lake, Hoffman Notch and Hammond Pond wilderness areas of
the Adirondack Park, we offer a private sand beach,
tennis, fishing, canoeing, sailing, and
hiking. In the winter we have ice fishing, cross
country skiing or snow shoeing in beautiful
surroundings. Rental houses on the lake are also
available year round. For more information on these
rentals, click the link at the bottom of the page.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Rooms with antique furnishings have private or
shared full baths and guest parlor. Breakfasts
feature regional foods. We request
no smoking in the house. Reasonable rates available
upon request.
